Dr Matt Edson will discuss diagnosis and treatment of uterine torsions, gastric ulcers, colic (trichobeozars aka hairballs) etc... Dr Lori Walker will explain Barber Pole Worm and various other parasite issues. Dr Katrina Alger will explore acupuncture use on alpacas.  The Campbell family is pleased to have Scotia Acres included as part of the Lumberton Historical Society Holiday House Tour. Visit our home and farm decorated for the holidays. We are happy to have visitors and will answer questions about the construction and unique characteristics of the house. In addition, if you have never seen an alpaca up close, this is your chance. Tickets are available on December 10 at the Gaun Building , 602 Main St, Lumberton, from 11:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m, They are also available from November 15-December 10 at vaious locations around the area. The ticket is admission to the tour houses and can be used for discounts at participating area eatries before and after the tour.  Join us at Scotia Acres for the Discover Alpaca event sponsored by the NJ Alpaca Community and hosted at Scotia Acres. There will be several farms onsite, as well as, an opportunity to tour our farm and see the alpaca! Watch the spinners take the alpaca fiber and turn it into yarn. | ALPACA SHEARING DAY |

 Begining 7:00 a.m. until we are done! We shear alpaca once a year. A professional shearer comes to the farm and this year we will have 60 shorn all in one day. It is an experience to watch and/or help so come by any time during the day. The difference in their appearance once shorn is amazing! |
